Water Cuts from 9am to 5pm continue in Luganville

The Public Works department is continuing its water reservation program in Luganville. Since the month of October, PWD has given notice to all residents of Luganville that due to the water shortages some areas will not access water from certain times.

All areas are affected except Sapi Area and the town area where businesses are located. Water cuts began at 9am in the morning and last till 5pm in the evening.

PWD issues notices in advance to residents before cutting the water. Residents who still owe PWD outstanding bills for water have had water meter’s removed and PWD only installs the meters when outstanding are paid.

The drought session is greatly affecting the northern parts of the country. Preventive measures are drastically affecting peoples life’s as water levels start to drop.
