Investors leaving Vanuatu

There is widespread concern following talks in Port Vila that Investors have had it and are leaving Vanuatu.

The political situation has not yet improved and there is the nation wide issue of El Nino and to top it off, Investors have started to leave the country because its politics is not stable and it not good for business.

A businessman living in the UK who wished to remain unanimous says he will be pulling his company out from Vanuatu and two of his friends who have businesses here in Vanuatu have already relocated to other countries in the Pacific.

“It is really not a positive outlook for the country when politicians do not seem to agree and Investors start to see this as a threat to their business” The business man continued.

“Vanuatu, because of its Tax Haven status is a good place to invest but with the political issues, businesses will leave this country”
