GIZ & QUT working wonders in Vanuatu

GIZ is a provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work, and it is dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world.

GIZ has over 50 years of experience in a wide variety of areas, including economic development and employment promotion, energy and the environment, and peace and security.

GIZ has partnered with QUT – the Queensland University of Technology in assisting the Government of Vanuatu with various projects.

QUT is well known as ‘a university for the real world’ because of its close links with industry and its relevant teaching and applied research.

Industry representatives and professionals contribute to QUT course development, adding a practical perspective to theoretical education.
QUT academic staff consult in industry and work on industry projects which often involve students.

Staff and students have access to the latest teaching technology. to trial cost-effective ways to operate semi-commercial, community-based integrated aquaculture & agriculture systems.

Management training also provided to communities to ensure the sustainability of the systems.
