FSTE is proud to announce that USP has received the SIBA Spatial Excellence Award for the Pacific Region last week at the Annual Pacific Islands GIS RS International Conference.
SIBA, the Spatial Industry Business Association is a prominent body in Australia that promotes the geospatial industry.

This award sends a clear message to both the Spatial and wider community that you are committed to serving your customers while striving for excellence.”
During the conference, the new Bachelor of Geospatial Science programme also received positive feedback from the international delegates.
Associate Priofessor Nick Rollings said “the the Geospatial Science programme is recognised as “world class”. This is the feedback we get from our academic colleagues from overseas.”
Dr John Lowry from the School of Geography, Earth Science and Environment delivered the USP welcoming speach to 150 delegates from 20 different coutries and emphasised that the conference was specifically for the Pacific Geospatial Community. He added that USP is committed to the Pacific communities and is proud of the new geospatial science award.
