15 Chiefs Are Going Home

FM 107 news reports Malvatumauri National Council of Chiefs have said no reconciliation ceremony will be performed yet at this stage and the chiefs are going home.

In a meeting yesterday with the media, Malvatumauri president Chief Senio Mao Tirsupe reiterated, any activity by chiefs towards the head of state or 14 MPs in jail will not happen yet, and have all agreed to handover all the reconciliation merchandise including 19 pigs to Malvatumauri this afternoon at the Chiefs Nakamal.

Chief Tirsupe said the 15 chiefs from Santo and Pentecost have been told not interfere with the appeal court in process, following their arrival to reconcile or ‘klinim fes’ after their early pardoning by acting speaker Marcelino Pipite that was found unlawful and later on revoked by President Father Baldwin Lonsdale.
