Leaders Party MPs, Jotham Napat and Matai Seremiah have donated their entire gratuity payments for being Ministers for two years to the people of Torba Province.
The gratuity payments totalling VT2.5 million have been donated to the people of Torba.
The MPs have plans to visit the islands of Gaua, Vanualava and Motalava early 2019 and do recognize that Torba Province has not been well served for the past years by the Government.
In the month of January 2019, the two MPs will visit all the islands and villages of Torba to donate rural electrical lightings, church building materials, fishing gears, iron roofs, cement, and also get a chance to listen to the people of Torba Province.
This is the first time in Vanuatu history for any MP to donate their entire gratuity payments to the people.
Building materials have already been bought and are being ready to be shipped to the northern islands.
The two MPs were recently ousted as Ministers from the Salwai Government but are continuing their support for Torba Province.
