Friana Kwevira Wins Country’s first ever Commonwealth Games Medal

The Pacific island of Vanuatu wins its first ever medal at a Commonwealth Games as Friana Kwevira wins bronze in the women’s F46 javelin throw.

She has made history for Vanuatu and as a woman this is a great example to many.

The 24-yr old’s effort means Vanuatu joined the Cook and Solomon Islands in winning their maiden Games medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast Australia.
