300 men, women and children registered

The Tafea Province Civil Status has registered over 300 people ranging from adults to children in its program during the Tafea Provincial Government hosted celebrations.

Cyclone PAM had destroyed birth certificates but thanks to the Civil Status Office in Tafea, residents in the province were able to register again for free.

Parents also brought in their children to be registered and were handed laminated birth certificates to take home.

The People of Tafea who attended the two weeks celebrations want to thank the Tafea Civil Status Office for the initiative.

The Civil Status Registration Program is funded by UNICEF and the Vanuatu Government.
